Sandra

This past summer I began to experience irregular periods along with heavy random bleeding, back pain and bloating. Several tests were made and I was diagnosed with Uterine Fibroids. My gynecologist recommended very strongly that I have a hysterectomy and made the suggestion that an oophorectomy (which is the biological equivalent of castration for males) would probably be better because he felt I didn’t really need my ovaries any longer. I asked if there were any other options he said there was a procedure called U.F.E. but did not expound on the subject.

After leaving the office, I began to search for answers to the many questions that came to mind. My first and foremost question was why remove my organs that were working just fine to rid my body of the fibroids. After visiting many websites and covering much information, I located Dr. John Thomas on the internet. I found him to be straightforward, with a wonderful manner. After this visit I opted for the Uterine Fibroid Embolization (U.F.E.) procedure.

The procedure was efficient in the treatment of my fibroids and I no longer suffer from their symptoms. Recovery time was minimal and after the first 48 hours or so there was only minor discomfort.

I highly recommend that women seek the advice of Dr. Thomas and his staff prior to making a decision that could otherwise alter their bodies so drastically. Today, I feel great and am very thankful to all of the wonderful Medical staff that I encountered during my procedure.
