Could it be fibroids?

Fibroids cause symptoms by taking up space or by making your period heavy.
Feeling bloated or having to pee all the time?
Are you having to change your pad or tampon more often, or do you flood around that protection?
Some women have just the heavy period problem, some have the bulk problem, while many suffer from both types of problems.

UFE is "safe and effective"*
American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG)

* Please note, UFE is not ideal for every woman, and it is a procedure that has known complications just like any other medical procedure. I can help you decide if UFE is right for you.

Fibroids are very common; 70% of women develop fibroids.

Many women never become symptomatic and can safely ignore their fibroids. But at least 1/4 of women with fibroids will get symptoms severe enough to justify doing something. UFE is a procedure, not a surgery, and can rid you of those symptoms while preserving your uterus.

According to the US Census in 2020 there were 413,841 women between the age of 25-55 In Bexar County, which means there were over 72,000 women suffering with fibroids at any given time.
Many of these women have just mild symptoms and can live with them. But each year over two thousand of them are so miserable they will undergo hysterectomy, which is the surgical removal of the uterus.

I estimate that there at least another 50,000 women with symptoms annoying enough to act, but they don't know they could undergo a procedure rather than major surgery to end those symptoms.

UFE is safer than hysterectomy, has a shorter recovery time and will get rid of the fibroids without the need for surgery. If you are one of the many suffering women trying to avoid surgery UFE might be your solution. And if you are considering hysterectomy, you would be well served to read the rest of this page before you decide.
